The "Harder to Breath" video accompanies the first
Maroon 5 single released state-side and does a marvelous job of conveying the intensity of the song. It features quick, angry cuts of the band playing in a dark, back-lit studio setting with neon lights flashing on the ceiling.
The Harder to Breath video was one of the first videos done by this marvelously talented band which combines grit, rock, and pop to accentuate an underlying theme that revenge is sweet. ("Does it kill? Does it burn? Is it painful to learn that it's me that has all the control? Does it thrill? Does it sting when you feel what I bring, and you wish that you had me to hold?"). For once, Adam Levine seems threatening, even though his voice is still a sultry wonder.
