Set on the Las Vegas strip, Nas’s “Street Dreams” video is a visual treat that places the rapper in the casinos trying to make some money, hoping for a better life than the one he left behind on the streets--a life full of drugs, police arrests and meaningless sex. All of Nas’s aspirations, however, go up in smoke when a mobster on the fringes of town tells him to get into a Cadillac which promptly blows up when he steps inside of it.
