Sean Kingston’s “Take You There” video has a refreshingly tropical look to it that is by turns comical and sensual. The story is about a young girl on vacation with her father at a boring hotel surrounded by old people playing bingo and shuffleboard. Kingston arrives by boat and gives her a guided tour of the Miami slums, but tells her that he can take her away from there if she wants. Kingston’s Jamaican roots pay off splendidly in the Take You There video as the artist takes more of a dancehall attitude towards his vocals and visuals. All in all, the video captures an enticing world and makes us want to join in.
